I have been trying to figure out the way Michael Vicente (Orb) sculps his stylized edges with different brushes and settings. I already know how he creates stylized cracks on the edges, but how does he sculp the actual edges?
Not sure what's the problem exactly. Just bevel those cubes in your 3d package and then use dynamesh in zbrush or dynatopo in blender and sculpt. It kills initial UV but you can project UV back on dynameshed object ( usually). Before it gets too tessellated at least.
After basic modeling, I exported the base mesh model to ZBrush using the GoZ addon, which can instantly export meshes to ZBrush with a simple click. In ZBrush, I made organic props like the skulls and the liquid. I usually use Blender for making all the hard-surface pieces, then I export them to ZBrush and add some more details like cracks, damage, wear and tear, as well as trim the borders. I broke the symmetry of the model with accessories such as skulls, candles, and branches. I used some Orb brushes to give cracks to the skulls and the wood.
On ZBrush I sculpted all my organic assets, trees, cactus and rocks. I also did the details of the assets imported from 3ds Max by adding damage to the edges, cracks and rock textures by using the Orb brush pack which is free. 2b1af7f3a8
